MJ's Memories was founded in October 2009, shortly after our very own sweet NICU baby passed away after a 35 day battle with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. We are a Local Project of Project Sweet Peas, a non profit organization ran by volunteers across the country, who through personal experience have become passionate about providing comfort to families with children in the intensive care units and to those who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Our programs support the wellness of families by providing care packages and other services that offer comfort while furthering the bond between parent and child, and treasured keepsakes to families who have experienced a loss. Through our services, we give from our heart, to inspire families with the hope of tomorrow.
Since our beginnings over two years ago, we can provided over 600 families with our care packages, memory boxes, and Teddy Bears on Christmas Day. It is our goal to continue to provide these cherished items for years to come.
Please join us to honor the short life of Michael Joseph Skaggs by walking to support families with a critically ill baby on May 5, 2012. Your $25 Registration Fee includes a t-shirt, one raffle ticket, and a balloon to release, if registered by April 20, 2012. You can register until the day of the walk, but pre-registration will guarantee you a t-shirt.
The 2 Mile Walk will begin at 1 pm on May 5, 2012. Walkers can walk with us that day, or Walk in Spirit and help to support families. Walking in Spirit includes a t-shirt, and raffle ticket, and a balloon to be released on your behalf, if you would like.
